Founded in 1979, the International
Cultic Studies Association (ICSA) is a network of people
concerned about cultic, manipulative, and abusive
groups. As the leading professional organization in the
field, ICSA strives to increase understanding and
awareness of such groups and to help people that they
harm.

Concerned about a group involvement
We stress to those concerned about a group involvement that each case is unique, and we encourage inquirers to review positive and negative information concerning a particular group and to consider the psychological dynamics of affected individuals.
Group information
Groups on which we have information may be mainstream or nonmainstream, controversial or noncontroversial, religious or nonreligious, harmful or benign.
ICSA does NOT maintain a list of "bad" groups or "cults"
