Since
1979 ICSA (International Cultic Studies Association, formerly known as
ICSA, American Family Foundation) has contributed hugely to the advancement of understanding of the
cult problem and to the education of youth, the public, and professionals.
We estimate that:
 |
Several
hundred thousand students have directly benefited from our preventive
educational materials (especially the video narrated by Charlton
Heston, Cults:
Saying No Under Pressure). |
 |
ICSA
experts have been cited in hundreds, probably thousands, of print and
broadcast news stories. |
 |
Our
network of volunteer professionals associated with ICSA has increased
to nearly 150. Collectively they have spoken to tens of
thousands of professionals at conventions and other meetings. |
 |
Nearly
one-half of the psychological literature in the field is written by
ICSA associates and nearly one-third has been published in ICSA's
Cultic
Studies Journal and
Cultic
Studies Review. |
 |
Since its founding,
ICSA has sent
information via US mail to more than 100,000 people. |
 |
Our workshops
and conferences
have helped several thousand former members and families. |
 |
Hundreds
of thousands of people have read the 30 books authored by
ICSA
associates over the years. |
 |
We estimate that more than 1,000,000 people
from more than 70 countries visit our Web site (http://www.culticstudies.org)
each year. |
